Classroom

Corrado was a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District pick in 2012. He was also an Academic All-Big Ten in his first year of eligibility in 2012. At Indiana Corrado has earned Alpha Beta honors in 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13. He has been selected to the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s list and is an IU Founders Scholar. With a 3.604 GPA, Corrado will graduate in Spring 2014 and is majoring in Pre-dentistry.

Character

Corrado is the consummate teammate who represents the University both on and off the field in a first-class manner. He is one of the go-to players when it comes to interviews as he consistently and eloquently expresses his passion for the game of soccer and his pride in representing Indiana University.

Community

The focus for Corrado since he arrived at IU is called Timmy Global Health. He is a part of the Fundraising Committee and they raise money to send a group of students, doctors, dentists, etc. to impoverished countries (this year’s trip was Guatemala) to provide basic medical care. Corrado helped raise money for PALS in the spring of 2013 which provides disabled individuals the opportunity to ride and interact with horses as a form of therapy. He volunteered at the Goodwill in Bloomington in the spring of 2013. Also in each of his seasons at IU he has taken part in Read Across America the team, visiting elementary schools and interacting and reading with the kids.

Competition

Corrado earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2012 as the held Indiana to its eighth NCAA Championship. Corrado led the Big Ten in assists with 12 while starting all 24 matches. It was the most assists by a Hoosier in a season since 2005. Four of his assists led to game-winning goals. In his 2 seasons at IU he has tallied 3 goals and 16 assists while appearing in 46 matches, making 28 starts. In 2013 he has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI first team and named to College Soccer News preseason All-America third team.
