McDonald is earning her masters degree in applied behavior analysis.
Character
McDonald is the leader of the team, stepping out of her comfort zone to be more vocal and acting as a coach on the floor. Likewise, McDonald is always there for her teammates and does what’s best for the team.
Community
McDonald has helped the women’s basketball team at Arizona have the most community service hours of any team in the athletic department.
Competition
In 2019-20, McDonald earned AP and USBWA second-team All-American honors, as well as WBCA All-American recognition. McDonald was also the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Winner last season.
In 2018-19, McDonald was recognized as both an AP and WBCA honorable mention All-American.
McDonald ranks in the top five in scoring in Arizona history, and is the program leader in single-season and single-game scoring. McDonald has scored double-figures in 73 straight games, which is the active longest streak in the nation (as of December 29).
