Classroom
Silbar has earned a 3.37 GPA through the fall semester of his senior year. In the fall semester he posted a 3.75 GPA. He has already accepted a position at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and will begin work there following graduation this summer.
Character
Silbar is a co-captain this season and served as the social chairman of Zeta Beta Tao.
Community
Has been active in Level The Field, an NYC initiative to provide camp opportunities to inner-city youth. Silbar, as a co-captain, helps lead his teammates in instructing the youth that attend the camps. Also participated in building and rejuvenating neighborhood gardens in Queens over the summer.
Competition
SIlbar is in his third season as Columbia’s starting shortstop. He started 48 games as a junior and was named to the All-Ivy League first team after tallying 52 hits and a .306 batting average, both second-best on the team.
