Classroom

Bedell has been a leader on the field for the University of Detroit Mercy men’s soccer team, but off the field Bedell can do just as much damage in the classroom. Since stepping foot on campus Bedell has been one of the top student-athletes at Detroit. Following his junior season, Bedell a Biology major, was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team after posting a 3.42 GPA in the fall and 3.34 during the spring. In his sophomore year, achieved a 3.51 in the fall semester and a 3.47 during the spring to make his debut on the All-Academic Team. For Bedell, it has been a personal goal to make an impact on both, the field and the classroom.

Character

Bedell served as a team captain for the Detroit Titans men’s soccer program during his junior season, after earning the trust and confidence of his peers. Not only does Bedell want success for the men’s soccer program, but wants each and every team within the program to compete at the highest level. Whether its during the winter, Bedell can be found in Calihan Hall supporting his fellow Titans on the hardwood, or in the stands of Titan field during the spring supporting the lacrosse program, he is a huge supporter of Detroit student-athletes. Bedell embodies what Titan Pride is all about, a humble, hardworking, helping, and an admirable individual.
