Classroom

Crystal is majoring in History-Politics and a minor in criminal justice with a GPA of 3.68. He has been a Dean’s List student the last seven terms, a CAA Academic Award Winner as a sophomore and a junior and the CAA’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for Men’s Lacrosse. He has been named a Philadelphia Inquirer College Academic All-Star in 2006 and won Arthur Ashe Jr., Sports-Scholar award in 2005 and 2006. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars Honors Society and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society member has already been accepted into law school.

Character

The team captain of the Drexel squad is well respected as the leader of the team and the defense.

Community

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board Member and Community Service Chair has been a major force in Drexel’s SAAC, including working with the CAA Blood Drive, which Drexel won this year. Adam participates in the inner city lacrosse initiative, where the Drexel lacrosse team teaches physical education during the spring semester at Martha Washington Elementary School and ran in the Lupus Run sponsored by the Lupus Foundation. Is a Student Mentor for Athletes Helping Athletes (AHA). Was instrumental in initiating a chapter of Americans Supporting Americans (ASA) on the Drexel University campus, which is an outreach program, providing soldiers with comfort items not provided by the U.S. Military and assisting local soldiers’ families at home.

Competition

Crystal was a Preseason All-America pick by Inside Lacrosse and finished 19th in the nation in ground balls last year. He was a First Team All-CAA pick and a key member of the man-down defense which finished 10th in the nation. He was a Second Team All-CAA pick as a sophomore. He was also named to the Jewish Sports Review College All-American team in each of the last three years.
