Classroom

Ali Kliment is majoring in political science with a minor in legal studies and criminal justice. She was named the 2009 Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is a member of the Honors School and the National Honor Society, and she received the Brian Kern Scholarship for having the highest GPA in the Honors School (junior year). Kliment was recognized with the Monmouth University Honors School Award for Highest Grade Point Average (April 2008) and three Monmouth University Honors School Awards for Excellence in Academic Writing (April 2008). She has been a member of the Dean’s List all three years, is a two-Time NEC Scholar Athlete, and an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District 2 first team member in 2009

Character

Kliment is a two-year team captain, as voted by her peers. She is a great representative of Monmouth University and its soccer program, as well as for all women’s athletics. A tremendous student, Kliment is a proven leader on campus.

Community

Kliment ‘s community service involves: Soldiers Angels, Catherine’s Closet, the Schroth School, Fool’s Run, TOPS Soccer, Read Across America, Relay for Life, Collecting DVDs for the troops and Wheels for the World.

Competition

Kliment was named the 2009 Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and a First-Team All-NEC performer. She was named to the 2009 NEC All-Tournament Team and ranks fourth on the team in total points, a career-best 10, on a career-high four goals. She headed a defense that posted 14 shutouts and allowed 14 goals in 21 games. She led MU to its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years.
