Ann is set to graduate in May with a degree in Supply Chain Management. A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Ann is a two-time Papa John’s Scholar-Athlete of the Week, a three-time Summit League Academic All-League Distinguished Scholar, and has been on the Western Illinois Dean’s List all six semesters. Miller was named to the Summit League All-League All-Academic Team in 2013, one of seven 7 volleyball players from the conference named to the team. Miller, who currently holds a 3.9 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) was the Vice President of Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, the highest recognition business scholars in the world can receive at a business program accredited by the AACBS International. Miller has put herself in a position post graduation, having completed a Transportation Logistics internship with Kent Corporation in 2013 and a internship with John Deere in 2014. A member of the Supply Chain Management Student Association (SCMSA), Miller is also the team’s representative on the Western Illinois Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Character

A team captain, Miller is viewed as a leader of the Western Illinois women’s volleyball program. On an off the court, Miller is always involved. On the court she is a vocal leader keeping her team energized and focused on every point. Off the court, Miller has a strong worth ethic during conditioning and the classroom.

Community

Miller has been involved in the Macomb community during her first three years at Western Illinois. She has been involved with Neighborhood Clean Up: Adopt-a-Street, “Rocky’s Reach”, a outreach program in which the student athletes go to local schools to read, interact, and help students, the McDonough County Special Recreation Association (Bowl for Kids), and National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Miller has also helped out with summer youth volleyball camps as well as being a member of Best Buddies.

Competition

During her three years on the team, Miller has accumulated 919 kills, 856 digs, 49 assists, 48 aces, and 75 total blocks. Miller is on pace to end her career in the top-3 in school history in kills. As junior, Miller was a All-Summit League Honorable Mention and was named to the Summit League All-Tournament Team. Her kills total ranked fifth in the league while her 3.34 kills per set ranks 7th all-time in a season at Western Illinois. During her freshman campaign, Miller was named to The Summit League All-Freshman Team and the 2011 SIU-Edwardsville Invitational All-Tournament Team.
