Anne Rasmussen was an Academic All-Summit League selection as a junior and is a three-time Summit League Honor Roll recipient. She is also a two-time selection to the Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence and aspires to become a personal trainer.

Character

Rasmussen is a two-year member of Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Monthly meetings allow members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee to get leadership opportunities both on and off the University of South Dakota campus.

Community

Rasmussen has participated in a Night to Shine, which is a prom night for special needs individuals. She volunteers her time, along with the team, with the Ronald McDonald House of Sioux Falls and participates in Girls and Women in Sports Day. Her activities through SAAC include Trick or Treat day with the Coyotes, Summit League Food Fight and trash pick-up after events.

Competition

Rasmussen was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Year as a junior (2018) after helping the Coyotes advance to their first-ever NCAA Division I National Tournament. In 2018, she ranked 18th nationally in digs per set while her 604 digs on the season were third-most in school history. She led the Summit League in total digs and digs per set while helping the Coyotes finish ninth nationally in digs per set. She is a two-time All-Summit League First Team selection (2017, 2018) who is on pace to become just the second South Dakota athlete ever to reach 2,000 career digs.
