Anthony Critelli was named to the 2016 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, posting a GPA of 3.33.

Character

Critelli worked hard to return from an injury that forced him to miss start of 2017 season. He is now back in action for the Crusaders.

Community

Critelli participated in the team’s tradition of shaving their heads to help raise awareness for cancer research, as the Crusaders worked to raise money this season for the Vs. Cancer Foundation. This season Holy Cross also hosted an ALS Awareness game in support of the Pete Frates Foundation, and a Military Appreciation game in which the team sold customized hats with proceeds benefiting the Home Base Program. The team has also been involved with Team IMPACT and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Competition

Critelli earned honors as the 2017 Patriot League Preseason Player of the Year after earning first-team All-Patriot League honors in both 2016 and 2015. He also led the Crusaders with 41 RBIs in 2016 while tying for the team-lead in home runs with nine. During the 2017 regular season, Critelli batted .291 with 25 runs batted in, 23 runs scored, six home runs and nine doubles. He also led Holy Cross with a ..482 slugging percentage.
