Classroom
Ashley McInnes maintains a 3.34 GPA in energy management. Last year he was an All-Conference USA Academic honoree and was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Character
McInnes is quite possibly the most accomplished soccer player and student in Tulsa history. McInnes possesses great character and strength, setting an example to which all of his peers may aspire. He’s also self-disciplined and an equally remarkable person.
Community
McInnes has volunteered for Mac’s National Soccer School the past three years, helping coach numerous children the game of soccer in the Tulsa community.
Competition
McInnes enters the 2010 season on the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List after having won the last two C-USA Player of the Year awards. McInnes was also on the watch list before his junior season, a year in which he ranked second in C-USA in shots (51), points (26), goals (nine) and assists (eight). Besides player of the year, McInnes also earned first-team All-C-USA, first-team NSCAA All-Midwest Region, first-team Soccer America MVP, second-team TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Season and third-team College Soccer News All-American honors.
