Competition

Eidsness ranks fifth all-time at UND in career wins (53), games played (53) and goals against average (2.44), sixth in save percentage (.905), and is tied for eighth in shutouts (four). He also ranks ninth in career saves (2,077) and 10th in career winning percentage (.661), and is the only goalie in UND history to appear in at least 40 games in each of his first two seasons. He is also one of only two goalies (with Karl Goehring) in UND history to win 20-plus games in each of his first two seasons. He is a two-time All-WCHA goaltender and was named to the WCHA Final Five All-Tournament team. As a freshman, he led the WCHA in wins (24), winning percentage (.650) and conference winning percentage (.731) and set UND freshman records for consecutive appearances (40) and consecutive starts (34). As a sophomore, he led the nation in minutes played (2387:54) and tied for the WCHA lead with 24 wins while leading UND to a WCHA playoff championship. Last season as a junior, he was a key letterwinner on a UND team that won both the WCHA regular season and playoff titles en route to a berth in the NCAA Frozen Four. This season, Eidsness has appeared in five games (three stars), going 3-1-0 while leading the team in goals against average (2.43) and save percentage (.918).
