He has a 3.67 total grade point average as an Economics major. Nunn has earned Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team honors for every season. He is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, a Jesuit honor society in which only 4% of the class is selected that honors students who embody the Jesuit values of Scholarship, Loyalty, Leadership and Service. He also works with the school’s Endowment Fund.
He has demonstrated his strong leadership ability by leading by example. He is very active in helping out in the community demonstrating to his teammates how important that is. He did not see a lot of playing time early in his career but kept playing hard in practice and is now a mainstay on the ice.
Founded Power Play Points For Pink. All home power play goals raise money through pledges from the community. The money pledged benefits PINK Revolution. PINK Revolution is an alliance of dedicated individuals with a unified commitment to those touched by breast cancer. Its mission is to support early detection and prevention strategies, fund clinical research advancements and promote survivorship programs in Central Mass. through its affiliation with the UMass Memorial Comprehensive Breast Center. Nunn seeks out and collects donations for the cause. Last year he raised over $4,000 for breast cancer research. Nunn has also took part in Crusaders for Kids, a big brother type of program set up by the players to bring inner city kids to other sporting events on campus as well as in the community.
Nunn is tied for the most career goals by any current member of the team with 25. He also has 21 assists for 46 career points. As a junior he scored a career-best 15 goals and has a career-best 21 points. He has been named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week once and the AT&T Crusader of the Week twice. He has played in 82 career games.
