Brian Holt

Classroom

Holt carries a 3.73 cumulative grade point average and is a Dean’s List honoree. He was named the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year for men’s soccer as a senior. He was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VII first team and is a member of the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team.

Character

Holt has the admiration of his teammates and is a leader, being named captain of the squad this year.

Community

Holt volunteered at Camp CoHoLo - a camp for children with cancer. He also helped with collections for Haitian relief and Siena Francis House Homeless Shelter. Holt worked at numerous soccer clinics with area youth.

Competition

Senior year update: Holt is the MVC Goalkeeper of the year as a senior. He recently set an NCAA record for career shutouts with 43.

He is a two-time All-MVC Second-Team (2009, 2010) member. His 0.79 career goals against average is second in school and MVC history. He already owns the school record with 27 shutouts, just one shy of the MVC mark. He was the 2008 MVC Freshman of the Year after tying the school record and ranking 8th in the NCAA with a 0.51 GAA. He set a school record with 722 consecutive scoreless minutes in goal in 2008.
