Rutgers University defense player Brianna Reed is a public health major with a 3.327 GPA. Reed is a three-time Dean’s List selection, posting a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring of 2015. She was also named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree as a junior.

Character

Reed is highly involved with the Rutgers Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), with numerous hours of community service accumulated. Reed also represented Rutgers women’s soccer at the 50 Yard-line Celebration and participated on the WIB Student Panel and Girls in Sports Day Panel.

Community

Reed has volunteered her time in the following community service activities: Read Across America, Turkey Trot 5k, Elijah’s Promise soup kitchen, toy and book drive, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital visit, George Washington school talk, New Brunswick tree lighting, MacAfee School Day assembly, Special Friends Day in support of autism, and Readington Middle School Field Day.

Competition

Reed has excelled as a key player to Rutgers women’s soccer team. She was one of 28 women nationally selected as a candidate for the 2015 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy Award. She is also listed on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Women’s College Preseason Best XI Third Team. Reed is tabbed the No. 24 player in the country in TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Top 100 while also being recognized on the Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch list. Additionally, Reed is a 2014 NSCAA All-American and first-team All-Big Ten selection and has started 44 consecutive games for Rutgers dating back to 2013.
