Classroom

Broc Little, a political science major, has shown the same dedication in the classroom as he has shown on the ice. Little maintains a 3.1 GPA and has been a three-time selection to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team.

Character

Through his community involvement and work ethic, both in the classroom and in the rink, Little has earned the respect and admiration of those on his team and within the greater athletic and academic community.

Community

Little is involved with the youth of community through many team outreach programs such as Youth Days and the Yale Youth Hockey Clinic. During Youth Days, he and his teammates speak with children and sign autographs for them. Little also participates in the Skate with the Bulldogs event that allows members of the community to come out and skate with the Yale hockey players. Beyond this, Little has visited with local schools to talk to the students about being a scholar-athlete.

Competition

During the 2009-10 season, Little led the Bulldogs with 27 goals, which was a Yale record for juniors, and also led the nation with goals per game (.79). He was second on the team with 41 points and, due to his strong year, garnered numerous postseason honors. Little was named RBK Second Team All-America, first-team All-ECAC, All-Ivy and All-New England. He was also named ECAC Hockey Player of the Year by New England Hockey Journal. During his sophomore campaign, Little skated in every game while leading the nation in shorthanded goals (5). He tied for the team lead in points (35) and was third on the team in goals scored (15). He was named third-team All-ECAC.
