Love is a team captain and aspiring pediatrician who takes sign language classes to help him better communicate with children.

Love volunteers at the local children’s hospital, with Read Across America and visits hospitals during postseason bowl trips.
Competition
In 2017, Love received the Doak Walker Award, Lombardi Award, Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year honor and the Touchdown Club of Columbus Jim Brown Award. He was a unanimous All-American, All-Pac-12 First Team selection, AP All-Pac-12 First Team honoree and was a Heisman Trophy finalist.
