Clemmons has demonstrated academic excellence throughout his career, holding a 3.18 cumulative GPA as a biochemistry major… Clemmons will graduate in December 2014 and plans to pursue a career in pharmacy after football.

Character

Clemmons is an active member of Crossland Community Church in Bowling Green and is a leader for WKU both on and off the field… He was voted by his teammates as a team captain before the start of the 2014 season.

Community

Clemmons is one of the most active community service performing athletes at WKU… He has volunteered his time to serve meals at the Salvation Army on multiple occasions and also spends time at the Boys and Girls Club… In February 2012, Clemmons volunteered with the Curbside Ministry - a program that brings food, fun and ministry to under-privileged youth in the Bowling Green area…Clemmons also offered his time at Rivendell, a mental health facility for kids… He has participated in the United Way Day of Caring the past four years.

Competition

Clemmons has started 31 games for WKU and aided the Hilltopper offense in setting 18 program records during his junior season in 2013… A staple on the line since 2011, Clemmons has paved the way for three-straight 1,600-yard rushers and two of the top three individual passing seasons in program history… The Mt. Juliet, Tenn. native has anchored an offensive line that has produced nearly 6,500 rushing yards the past three years in route to three-straight seasons with seven or more wins… Clemmons enters his senior season with more career starts (31) than any active Hilltopper and has been recognized as a Preseason All-Conference USA selection by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele…He has also been named as a Senior Bowl Watch List member.
