Classroom

Kinley carries a 3.34 grade point average at one of the most rigorous academic institutions in the country. He is majoring in political science and will graduate in May. He plans to be commissioned as a Naval Intelligence Officer.

Character

Kinley is currently the Class President for the Class of 2021.  He is believed to be the only FBS player that is also the class President as his school.  He is also a tri-captain on the football team. He is secretary for the Naval Academy’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He is one of six members of the football team on the Naval Academy’s Midshipmen Diversity team.

Community

Some of the community service projects that Kinley has been involved in include volunteering with Bay Bridge Swim, We Feed Our People, Maryland Special Olympics, the Stanton Center and the Anne Arundel Food Bank Food and Toy Drive. He has also volunteered with kids through the Newtowne Outreach,  as well as volunteering with the Distant Relatives project to feed the homeless and multiple Thanksgiving food drives.  “The idea of serving others is very important to me,” Kinley says. “I want to represent those who aren’t represented that well. I want to give back to this country. I want to make it a better place.”

Competition

Kinley will finish as a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter. He started 19-consecutive games at corner and was a starter on a Navy team that won a school-record 11 games last year. That team had the second-biggest turnaround in FBS history (from 3 wins to 11), finished the season ranked 20th in the country, won the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy as the nation’s top Service Academy (beating Air Force and Army) and defeated Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl.
