Classroom

Carli Lloyd is a two-time Pac-10 academic honorable mention team member. She earned the highest GPA on the team in 2008 and 2009. Majoring in social welfare with a minor in education, Lloyd has a GPA of 3.53 and is set to graduate in May 2011. She has an interest in psychology and education.

Character

Lloyd served as the team captain as a junior and believes that teamwork is extremely important in the game of volleyball and that there has to be good chemistry for teams to succeed. She goes hard in practice and is extremely competitive.

Community

Lloyd loves kids and would like to become a family counselor or therapist, or a marriage counselor. She enjoys working with and helping people. She works with underprivileged youth as an after-school tutor. She enjoys being an active, good/positive role model and believes role models can determine whether or not kids work hard to achieve goals and make things happen in their lives.

Competition

Lloyd is a two-time AVCA All-American. She was a member of the 2008 Pac-10 All-Conference Team and is a two-time AVCA All-Pacific Region selection. She was a member of the NCAA Regional Tournament team and has numerous other all-tournament team selections. She holds the single-season and career assist records at Cal.
