Keenum graduated in December 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology-Sports Administration with a minor in Business Administration. He’s now pursuing post-graduate work in Kinesiology. Keenum’s afive-time Conference USA Commissioner’s honor-roll member and was on the 2008 C-USA All-Academic team.

Character

Keenum returns for his second senior year after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the third game last year. He’s a mature leader who was married during the summer. Keenum is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in both the Houston and Abilene communities.

Community

Keenum is the leader of the FCA worship team and this summer served as an FCA camp counselor for high-school boys. He speaks to area middle and high schools and is a regular visitor to patients at Texas Children’s Hospital. Keenum signed autographs for young fans and led athletic events at Star of Hope Mission Christmas luncheon and in 2009 he was the C-USA Spirit of Service Award recipient.

Competition

Keenum is poised to become the Division I career leader in passing yards, total offense and touchdown passes. After his junior season in 2009, Keenum was selected as the C-USA Most Valuable Player, he was a finalist for the Davey O’Brien, Manning and Walter Camp National Player of the Year Awards and he was named an All-American by numerous groups. In 2008 he was the C-USA Offensive Player of the Year.
