Classroom

Working on a master’s degree in Fitness, Sport and Leadership, Jenkins gradated from DePaul in June with a degree in communications and a minor in sign language. A three-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team, she helped DePaul to a No. 3 ranking in the WBCA Team Academic Poll.

Character

Jenkins was the captain of the USA Basketball World University team that won gold in July in South Korea and co-captain of this year’s DePaul team. She is a member of DePaul’s captains’ council, and, as a three-year starter, she helped DePaul to three NCAA Tournament appearances including a Sweet 16 and a second round appearance. Jenkins also led DePaul to back-to-back BIG EAST Tournament and regular season titles.

Community

Jenkins is active in all of DePaul’s community service events, which include the following: Sheffield Garden Walk, grade school clinics, Doug Bruno Camp, Misercodia Candy Days, St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, community toy drives, blanket-making for the homeless, helping at a women’s shelter and with underprivileged kids and participating in clothing and shoe drives.

Competition

Jenkins was a member of the USA World University games team. A unanimous Preseason All-BIG EAST selection, she was a 2015 second-team all-BIG EAST selection and a member of the 2015 BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. With 490 career assists through her junior season, she is on pace to break DePaul’s career assist mark. Through three seasons, she averaged 4.7 assists per game in 105 games played and became DePaul’s 22nd 1,000-point scorer as a junior last season. Through the 2014-15 season, she averaged 10.3 points per game with a 12.4 ppg average as a junior.
