Classroom

Pickering maintains a 3.69 GPA as a double major in Health Care Administration and Masters of Business Administration. She became the first Idaho State women’s basketball player, along with teammate Kaela Oakes, to be named to the Capital One Academic All-America All-District VIII second team. She has been on the Dean’s List and been named academic all-Big Sky for four straight years.

Character

Pickering has suffered several setbacks during her career, including tearing her ACL during her sophomore season and numerous leg injuries her freshman season, which allowed her to get a fifth season of eligibility. Pickering is a member of Fellowship for Christian Athletes. She is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and a member of Student Association of Health Care Administrators.

Community

Pickering has volunteered with the Juvenile Diabetes Camp as well as the Pocatello Portneuf Marathon, the Bengal Foundation Challenge, the Bengal Foundation auction and the Alumni Association dinner auction. She has also read to elementary school students.

Competition

As a junior, Pickering earned first-team All-Big Sky honors after recording a team-high 16.2 points per game and 65 steals. She also recorded 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Her teammates honored her as the team Co-MVP and she earned Idaho State’s Women’s Weight Lifter of the Year award. Pickering enters her senior season as a first-team All-big Sky selection by College Sports Madness. Her 181 field goals made is the ninth best single season record at Idaho State. Her 65 steals ties the fifth best single-season record at Idaho State. Pickering maintains the 10th best free-throw percentage at 73.7 percent and is tied for the 11th best three-point field goal percentage at 34.8 in a career at Idaho State.
