Classroom

Warren is on pace to graduate in liberal studies with minors in English, mass media and communications and parks and recreation management. He was a member of the Mississippi honor roll in the spring of 2009. Outside of a professional basketball career, Warren plans to work in teaching or coaching.

Character

Any coach or player on the Ole Miss team will tell you they have never seen Warren give anything less than maximum effort in any practice or game throughout his career. He does not cut corners and is as dedicated to his craft as any player out there. Warren exemplified this work ethic when as a sophomore he tore his ACL in the Rebels’ 11th game and worked extremely hard to recover quickly. He was ready to fully participate in workouts by the start of the summer offseason. A quiet and humble person, Warren leads by example and is routinely the first person on the court and the last to leave.

Community

Warren has been involved in several community-service efforts alongside his teammates during his college career. He has visited patients at a children’s hospital in Jackson, Miss., read books to elementary school students as part of the “Reading with the Rebels” program and donated his time to give gifts to needy children from the local Boys & Girls Club.

Competition

After his junior season, Warren was named All-SEC and USBWA all-district in addition to being a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which goes to the nation’s top point guard. Despite missing 20 games to injury as a sophomore, he has a chance to become just the fourth SEC player with 2,000 points and 400 assists in a career. In the two years he has played a full season, Warren led the Rebels to 24 victories and an NIT final four berth each time.
