Classroom

Costabile is a two-time All-ACC Academic Team selection in 2010 and 2011 as well as an ACC Academic Honor Roll selection each of those years. He is majoring in History and will graduate in May 2012.

Character

Costabile has demonstrated good leadership throughout his time at Duke. He is someone who younger players look up to and leads by example on the field with his work ethic.

Community

Costabile is an active member along with his teammates at the Ronald McDonald House. They make dinner for the families once a month during the fall. He also volunteers at Children’s Hospital with the team and in various other areas in the Durham community.

Competition

A three-time All-America selection, Costabile has been a key member of the Blue Devils for the past three years. He earned All-America third-team honors in 2010 and 2011 and honorable-mention recognition in 2009. He was one of two Duke selections on the All-ACC squad in 2011 and tallied the winning goal in Duke’s national championship victory against Notre Dame in 2010. He has played in 59 games during his career with 15 goals and 16 assists as a long-stick midfielder.
