Character

Logsdon is a leader both on and off of the field. She is in her first season as a team captain and helped the Tribe to an early 5-2 record as on nomination time. This summer she was chosen for an unpaid internship with Williamsburg Congressman Rob Wittman. Through the position, she led constituents through tours of the Capitol, represented the congressman through discussions of hot issues with constituents, attended briefings and hearings within Congress, informed the congressman and his staff on critical areas of interests, and communicated with constituents via phone and email.

Community

Off of the field, Logsdon is involved with community service projects in the Williamsburg area with both her Tribe women’s soccer teammates and her sorority, Tri Delta. Every year, she and her teammates volunteer at the Grove Christian Outreach Center where they take part in beatification, organization and distribution project to help aid the elderly, poor and disabled members of the community. With Tri Delta, Logsdon is involved with two of the biggest fundraising events the sorority does: the fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the TribeTHON. Logsdon helps with her sorority’s efforts to raise money around the area for St Jude’s to make it possible for the hospital to conduct research and better understand how to treat and defeat childhood cancer, directly impacting children across the nation. TribeTHON raises money and awareness for children with pediatric illness at the Children’s Miracle Network. Logsdon’s led the PR charge to get the whole W&M community involved in what is a growing organization on campus.

Competition

A now two-year starter, Logsdon is a team captain for the Tribe. Through nomination time, she has started all seven matches playing every minute. She has helped the Tribe defense to four shutouts and a 0.85 goals-against-average. Prior to the season, Logsdon was named a Preseason All-CAA Player. She played every minute last season, anchoring a defense that led the CAA with 12 shutouts and a 0.88 goals-against-average. Logsdon added two goals, an assist and five points from her backline sport. Following the 2015 season, she earned first-team All-CAA honors, ECAC first-team All-Star honors and Virginia Sports Information Directors First Team accolades as she helped the Tribe to the NCAA Tournament. For her career, Logsdon has appeared in 55 matches with 39 starts. She has totaled four goals, one assist, and nine points. The defense has recorded 28 shutouts during her Tribe career.
