Classroom

Clint Hoffar has maintained a 3.28 grade-point average while majoring in Math Teaching. Part of his curriculum has included in-class work at nearby George Washington Community High School in Indianapolis. He’s been named to IUPUI’s Academic Advisor’s List five times in his career and twice picked to the Summit League’s Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence in his career.

Character

Hoffar’s character shows through as he has twice been chosen by the coaching staff as a team captain for the Jaguars. He’s seen a vast amount of change in the men’s soccer program, helping anchor Head Coach Isang Jacob’s first recruiting class at IUPUI. Through adversity that’s seen an overhaul of the roster, he’s one of only two seniors who remain after four years in the program. In addition, Hoffar is active in campus ministry and known across campus and in the athletics department for his leadership qualities.

Community

Hoffar’s mother is a breast cancer survivor, which has prompted Clint and his teammates to be active with various awareness walks in Central Indiana over the past few years. Hoffar has also been active in the Jags Reading Club, joining forces with others in the athletics department to go read to elementary-aged children on a weekly basis. He and his teammates have staged a number of clinics as part of community outreach initiatives, including a well-received camp for Hispanic youth in Indianapolis last fall. Additionally, he’s volunteered to serve at food pantries throughout the city during his career.

Competition

Hoffar is a key part of the Jaguars’ defensive third and twice earned All-Summit League honors from various publications. He’s appeared in 50 career matches, making 46 starts through three seasons in an IUPUI uniform. He’s contributed seven assists to the attack, five of which have come against Summit League opponents. With his ability to long throw, he’s become a key cog in the IUPUI offensive attack, despite playing the bulk of his minutes along the back line.
