Boyd has a 3.58 GPA in her pre-education major. She was selected to Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team in 2010 and the Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention Team in 2009.

Character

Boyd is described by her head coach Linus Rhode as “a team player, great leader, a competitor and leads by example on and off the field.”

Community

Boyd has volunteered at a pre-school, worked at the Corvallis homeless shelter and has volunteered at the carnival and with valet parking.

Competition

Boyd is a three-year starter and has played 52 career games. She was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American Third Team, the NSCAA All-Pacific Region First Team, the All-Pac-10 First Team and the Pac-10 All-Academic Second Team. She was named NSCAA National Player of the Week on Oct. 20, 2010 and Pac-10 Player of the Week on Oct. 17. She recorded a school record 14 shutouts in 2010. She set the school record for consecutive scoreless minutes (580 minutes, 8 seconds) in 2010 and the single-season school record for goals against average (0.56).
