A three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection, earning the distinction in each of his three seasons with American. Earned a 3.46 GPA in AU’s prestigious Kogod School of Business last season. Parlayed his success in the classroom to an internship this past summer at Zurich North America, learning in the distribution & regional management unit of the Mid-Atlantic Area.

Character

Osborne’s character is evident in the way he carries himself and simply speaks to anyone he meets, but was most evident in his role in American University’s partnersthip with the #Kuykenstrong Foundation. Osborne’s former assistant coach Shawn Kuykendall, who lost his battle with thymic cancer shortly after the season, was a major factor on Conor. Osborne and his teammates helped raise money and awareness for cancer research and wore warm-up shirts branded with #Kuykenstrong in over of Shawn, having him even come to a game as the honorary captain. Osborne is an active member of the #Kuykenstrong Foundation and AU this year has branded its annual D.C.C College Cup in honor of Shawn.

Community

Conor is extremely active in the community as a member of Habitat for Humanity, building houses with the esteemed group. He has also volunteered with the MANNA Group in Philadelphia, raiding money and serving in the kitchen to help feed families and those with terminal illnesses. Osborne also helped raise money for the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance. He also gives back to the soccer community, serving as a coach for the Bethesda, Md., Youth Soccer Club camps.

Competition

A Third Team All-Patriot League selection last season, Osborne is one of AU’s most talented defenders, helping American to back-to-back Patriot League Championship Games in his first two seasons in Washington, D.C. He has been an impact player since day one back in 2011, starting 13-plus games each season, totaling 46 total games started and 53 total games. He tallied four points while helping anchor AU’s defense, scoring four points (one goal, two assists) last season. While his speed on the outside is invaluable, his quick footwork and closing ability helped AU to a 0.95 goals against average last season and 0.92 in 2012.
