Danny Jensen holds a 3.347 GPA in real estate in the Fisher College of Business. He is a three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. In 2015, Jensen was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region Team.

Character

Jensen has been a key member of the Ohio State men’s soccer team the past four seasons as a four-year starter. His energy at practice, in the locker room and on match day is second to none. When the team is up against adversity, Jensen always rises to the occasion as a trusted teammate and loyal student-athlete. Last summer, following the tragic loss of Ohio State junior Fikayo Idowu, Jensen quickly communicated and supported his teammates and friends of Fikayo as news spread of the tragedy. He organized the memorial service for Fikayo the night after his passing and was a constant source of strength. His work ethic and commitment to excellence is an inspiration for future Buckeyes.

Community

ensen has taken part in Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Kids Kicking Cancer, Urban Eagles and Buckeye Buddies the past four years at Ohio State.

Competition

Jensen is the most decorated Buckeye on the 2016 roster. As a freshman, Jensen was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team (2013), leading the team in points (3g, 3a) in 12 starts. In 2014, Jensen led the team in shots (49) and shots on goal (20) and was second on the team in points (6g, 1a). In 2015, he was named second-team All-Big Ten and led the team with 18 points (6g, 6a), guiding the Buckeyes to the NCAA Sweet 16 and regular season Big Ten title. Jensen was named a third-team NSCAA All-Region honoree as a junior and also has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week three times. A 2016 Big Ten Player to Watch, Jensen leads all active Buckeyes with 15 career goals, 11 career assists and 41 career points. Jensen has registered six career game-winning goals in 58 career starts with 67 career appearances. He’s seen the field in 5,071 career minutes since joining the team in 2013.
