Doug Jones

Classroom

Jones carries a 3.5 GPA, majoring in economics with a focus in public economics and international finance. He has been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team in of his first three seasons and earned a spot on the Ivy League All-Academic Team in his freshman season.

Character

One of the unsung players on the team because he played along side players with better numbers and more attention, Jones has become one of Dartmouth’s best leaders on the ice and in the dressing room. He was named an assistant captain this season.

Community

During his time at Dartmouth, Jones been involved in several outside activities. He has helped clean up local churches, including planting an organic garden at one. He has also been a staple at the team’s annual appearance at the Dartmouth Children’s Hospital. Jones also has been involved in reading to kids at local elementary schools.

Competition

Jones was tied for the second leading scorer as a junior with 29 points (8-21-29). He now has 82 career points on 18 goals and 64 assists. He is an assistant captain as a senior. He was named honorable mention All-Ivy and to the ECAC All-Rookie Team as a freshman in 2008-09. He has finished in the top four in scoring at Dartmouth in each of his first three seasons.
