Classroom

LeBlanc is a mathematics education major at St. Cloud State, with a minor in coaching. He was named to the All-WCHA Academic team in 2010 and 2011 and was named a WCHA Scholar-Athlete award winner in 2010 and 2011. He was selected as a Capital One Academic All-District V University Division Second Team pick in 2010 and 2011 and is on the Dean’s List during his collegiate career at SCSU. He has also been elected to the SCSU Student-Athlete Honor roll.

Character

A four-year standout for the Huskies, LeBlanc was voted by his teammates and coaches to serve as a team captain for the Huskies in 2011-12. LeBlanc received the team’s most improved player award during his freshman season in 2008-09. a “team first” player, who leads by example on and off the ice, LeBlanc has played in 119 consecutive games during his career - he has never missed a game since he has arrived on campus.

Community

LeBlanc is a community and campus volunteer at St. Cloud State. He has helped as a Husky Hauler during the campus move-in days in 2009, 2010 and 2011.  The Husky Haulers help incoming students unload their belongings into the campus dorms on move-in day at the start of school each year. He participates in the annual Skate with the Huskies community outreach program each season. He participated in the SCSU Hockey Season Ticket Holders Ice Cream Social Event, which is a recognition night for the fans who own season tickets at SCSU. In 2011, LeBlanc and his fellow teammates also worked a phonathon that placed calls to season ticket holders thanking them for their purchase and their ongoing support. He talked with a class of high school students at nearby Sartell H.S. about the challenges of being a Division I student-athlete. In his hometown of Hermantown, Minn., LeBlanc has previously helped with youth hockey camps and rang bells during the holiday season for the Salvation Army.

Competition

LeBlanc was an All-WCHA third team selection in 2011. LeBlanc led the Huskies in scoring in 2010-11 with 13 goals, 26 assists and 39 points.  He also had four power play goals as a junior. In three seasons as a Husky, LeBlanc has posted 85 points (27 goals and 58 assists), 10 power play goals, 1 shorthanded goal and 3 game winners during his career. He had 12 multi-point games in 2010-11 and also had two four-point performances in 2010-11. He was named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week on Jan. 19, 2009 during his freshman season and was named SCSU’s co-Rookie of the Year in 2008-09. He ranked 10th among WCHA players in 2010-11 for scoring (28 points in 28 WCHA games) and helped guide SCSU to a second place finish at the 2010 WCHA Final Five. He helped SCSU earn an NCAA tournament bid in 2010, which included a first-round win over Northern Michigan at the 2010 NCAA DI West Regional. He has played in 119 consecutive games as a college hockey player.
