Character

There a lot of ways to describe Lukianova, but the one that comes to mind first is a powerful example of the value of change. Her career is evidence of how impactful college athletics can be in both directions.

Miami has benefited immensely from all of Lukianova’s kills and aces over the last five years. Yet even deeper, her maturation into a leader and a steady, calming influence has and will continue to have a direct and profound impact on the next generation of Hurricanes volleyball players. Lukianova is so far beyond where she or anyone else expected when she arrived on campus as an athlete, student, and woman. She is the poster child for the NCAA model.

Community

While competing with the Miami volleyball program, Lukianova spent time volunteering during Miami’s annual girl scout clinic, where she taught young girls volleyball skills and prepared them for the future.

On a trip to Puerto Rico, she spent time at San Jorge’s Hospital volunteering and talking to young, sick children in the hospital offering them encouragement and happiness.

She has also visited the local elementary school and assisted with a teammate’s canned food drive.

Competition

In her four seasons with the Canes, Lukianova has recorded 908 kills. She led the Canes her redshirt junior season with 304 kills and broke into Miami’s top 10 record book in 2020, registering 30 kills in a single match, which also ranked in the top five in the NCAA in the year.

Lukianova is one of the most dominating offensive threats in the ACC and has been named to the All-ACC second team two years in a row. She was named to the All-ACC preseason team back-to-back seasons.
