Erik Adamson

University of Denver

Erik Adamson is carrying a 3.911 GPA as a finance major with a minor in accounting.

“To me, Erik Adamson is one of the finest young men I’ve ever been around. He continues to surprise people with the things he does, obviously on the field, but also in the classroom, around our team and around the community. He’s such a high-character guy in our locker room—just the type of athlete that we look to recruit into our program. He was going to go to Arizona State to play club lacrosse, but now he’s a DI All-American and will be playing professional lacrosse this summer. These kinds of awards are really special because they represent more than what an athlete can do on the field, and a guy like Erik Adamson would represent the award very well.” - Denver Head Coach Bill Tierney

In his freshman and sophomore seasons, Adamson helped out with the 9News Denver Food Drive, which is part of the Colorado Shares initiative to make the Denver community a better place. The drive collects food, clothing and toy donations to help support the Denver community. Adamson also helped the program set up a leukemia and lymphoma walk at Denver’s Wash Park.

Adamson has made 48 appearances in his career, tallying 102 points on 76 goals and 26 assists from his midfield role. The senior has scored 10 man-up goals in his career, including seven last season. As a junior in 2014, Adamson scored 44 goals, earning USILA Honorable Mention All-America honors. In December, Adamson was an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America selection. Adamson’s additional honors include the NCAA Elite 89 Award in 2014, two all-conference selections and the Baltimore Sun National Player of the Week for Feb. 15, 2013. In the 2014 NCAA Quarterfinals, the Anaheim Hills, Calif., native recorded a career-high seven points, including six goals. Adamson has had two career sock tricks, with the other six-goal performance coming against Notre Dame on March 8, 2014.
