Ehtan Prow was named to the All-NCHC Academic Team in 2015 and 2014. He is a finance major at SCSU and has participated in the Husky Fund investment program class at SCSU. Prow is on track to graduate in May 2016 at SCSU.

Character

Prow has been a recognized team leader during his four seasons at SCSU. He was named team captain for the Huskies in 2015-16. Prow is a local player with deep ties to the St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids communities and SCSU. He is locker room leader for SCSU this winter.

Community

Prow is an active community and campus service participant for St. Cloud State hockey. On campus, Prow has participated on an annual basis with the Skate with the Huskies community outreach program along with helping on an annual basis with the Husky Hauler, a service that helps incoming students move into the residence halls at SCSU. He has worked during the summer months with the SCSU youth hockey camps and has read to students at the elementary schools in his hometown of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Prow has assisted the SCSU athletic department by making phone calls to season tickets holders to thank them for their support. He has served as a Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative for the men’s hockey team at St. Cloud State and has helped with the captain’s practice session with nearby St. Cloud Cathedral High School. Prow has assisted with the Sacred Heart Church bazaar in his hometown of Sauk Rapids. Prow has also been a part of Tanner’s Team, which is a local foundation that helps raise funds for children battling life-threatening illness or injuries.

Competition

Prow is a four-year standout on the SCSU blue line. Through Jan. 26, he had played in 22 games with 20 assists in 2015-16. In that time, Prow had played in 134 career games at SCSU. His career totals include 16 goals, 70 assists, 86 points, nine power play goals and two game winning goals. He has been named an NCHC Player of the Week four times during his career and was selected to the 2015 NCAA DI West Region All-Tournament Team. Prow helped SCSU win conference titles in 2013 and 2014 and helped SCSU earn three NCAA tournament bids in 2015, 2014 and 2013. Prow was on the SCSU team that played in the 2013 NCAA Frozen Four and won the NCAA Midwest Regional. He has been on the SCSU teams that have advanced to the championship game of the NCAA regional tournament in 2015, 2014 and 2013. As of Jan. 26, the Huskies were ranked No. 3 in the nation. He had 43 blocked shots in 2014-15 and is the leader on a SCSU defense that has only allowed 52 goals in 26 games this season. Thanks to Prow, in 2014-15, SCSU outscored its opponents 186-171 and allowed just 2.4 goals per game. This year Prow has 8 goals, 26 assists, 34 points and is +28 on the plus/minus. He is the team captain for #5 ranked St. Cloud State and leads all NCAA DI defensemen in 2015-16 with 34 points and 26 assists. Prow has recently been named to the 2016 All-NCHC First Team.
