Gabi Paupst

Radford University

Paupst carries a 3.98 GPA as an accounting major. She is a member of both the Honors Academy and COBE Fellows Business Group.

She was also involved with the Student Managed Investement Portfolio Organization for four years years.

Following graduation this spring, Paupst has accepted a job with Deloitte Canada in the United States Tax service line. She will also be pursuing her CPA designation starting this summer.

Paupst has been a captain for Radford since her sophomore year. She was able to overcome adversity that season, tearing her quad during the pre-season and going through a painful recovery. She was able to be back on the field midway through conference play. During her first game back, Paupst scored the game-winner to help Radford win a championship.

Even though she has struggled with COVID-19, Paupst has been able to keep a community atmosphere alive with the team.

Paupst, along with other Radford teammates, started a program to get the Athletic Department involved in food drives with the new River Action Center. They had been active with this initiative for a year before it was paused for COVID-19.

In 2019, Paupst started all 20 games for Radford. She scored nine goals, culminating in All-Conference first team and All-Tournament team honors. It was a career high - ranking second most among the team and fourth most in the Big South.

Paupst also tied for the fourth most-game winning assists in the Big South (4). She assisted on a career high five goals and was featured in the Big South’s Top 10 Individual Offensive Statistics in 7/9 categories.

For her career, she has 19 career goals with 46 points.

Prior to the 2020-21 season, Paupst was named the preseason Big South Player of the Year.
