Rashed Jr. enters the 2020 season having graduated already with a degree in public health. He is currently working on his master’s degree.

Character

Rashed Jr. is an outsanding role model for his younger brother and someone who is the epitome of a student-athlete. He has an all-out work ethic and takes pride in everything he does.

He has been nominated for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, which is given annually to the nation’s best defensive player in character and performance. Rashed Jr. fits the Lott IMPACT Trophy characteristics—integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community, and tenacity—perfectly.

Community

Rashed Jr. has spent many hours volunteering with the local youth at the Boys and Girls Club in Corvallis, Oregon.

Competition

Leading the nation and setting a school-record with 22.5 tackles for loss in 2019-20, Rashed Jr. was named an All-American by seven different organizations. He also finished third in the nation with a school-record 14 sacks, leading to All-Pac-12 honors from multiple organizations.

Heading into the 2021-21 season, Rashed Jr. has recieved multiple preseason honors. Included are Walter Camp All-America first team, Sporting News All-America first team, Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 first team, and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 first team. He was also named to the Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy, and Butkus Award watch lists.
