Hannah Klemm has a cumulative GPA of 3.93 and has been on the provost’s list for Spring and Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. In each semester she hasn’t been on the provost’s list, she has been on the dean’s list. In 2016 she won the Dr. Sylvia J. Giallombardo Award (Hofstra’s top female scholar-athlete), and she was named the Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2015-2016 and the Hofstra University Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year for 2014 and 2015. Klemm is also a three-time CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient.

Character

Klemm is one of the most respected student-athletes on the team and among Hofstra student-athletes. She serves as the program’s sole captain this season and continues to lead the program to success on the court, in the classroom and in the community. She represents Hofstra with class in all that she does and is a wonderful representative of the program and university.

Community

Klemm has been involved with Reading with Pride in 2014-16 (reading at local schools), Let All the Children Play Foundation, Polar Bear Plunge Long Beach and Ruff House Rescue.

Competition

Kleem was named the 2014 and 2015 CAA Setter of the Year, a 2015 All-CAA First Team honoree and a 2014 All-CAA Second Team selection. As of September 8, she ranks fourth all-time in assists at Hofstra (3,727) and 10th all-time in CAA history in career assists. Klemm was a member of the 2014 CAA Champions/NCAA Tournament participant team and the 2015 CAA Regular Season Champion team. Last season, Klemm ranked fifth nationally in assists with 1,493, and on a per-set basis, she ranked 10th nationally with 11.76 assists per set. During her three completed seasons, Klemm has helped Hofstra to a combined 66 wins, an average of 22 per season. She also has reached double figures in assists in 94 straight matches.
