Classroom
Hunsaker has a 3.91 GPA while majoring in accounting. In 2012-13, he was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 8 Team, the Division I-AAA ADA Scholar-Athlete Team and the Great West Conference All-Academic Team. Following the season he received the Great West’s top honor, the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for his success on and off the court. Over the summer, Hunsaker interned in Washington, D.C. for Utah Senator Orrin Hatch.
Character
Hunsaker is a popular student-athlete with fans, alumni and his professors. His character and personality only help magnify his success between the lines and in the classroom. A fierce competitor, Hunsaker is a team leader on and off the court.
Community
Hunsaker and his teammates participate in monthly service projects which have included visiting Boys and Girls Clubs, retirement communities and helping build homes with Habitat for Humanity among many other endeavors.
Competition
Having started every game of his career, Hunsaker had his best season as a junior, earning All-Great West Conference first team honors. He scored a career-high 37 points and matched a school record with eight 3-pointers made in a contest at Chattanooga. For the year he averaged 13.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
