Classroom

Noone was a member of the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America first team and was voted the 2008 Philadelphia Soccer 7 Academic Player of the Year. He was named the 2008 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year and is a two-time Academic All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection. He has a grade point average of 3.70 and is a 2008 Trustee Ten (top 10 student-athletes in terms of cumualtive GPA at Temple). As a junior, he was named to the NSCAA/adidas Senior College Men’s Scholar All-America Soccer Team.

Character

Noone is one of two student-athletes on Temple University’s campus-wide Presidential Advisory Committee. He has also been selected as a team captain this season.

Community

Noone’s community service has involved volunteering at Partnership Field Day in 2008 and 2009 and helping run soccer clinics to expose local students to the sport.

Competition

Noone enters the season on the MAC Hermann Trophy player of the year watch list. As a junior, Noone scored a team-high seven goals and had a team-leading 26 points.  He set new school records for assists in a season (12) and ranked third nationally in assists per game (0.63). In addition to being named Temple’s Student-Athlete of the Year, he was a 2008 NSCAA second team All-America, an NSCAA All-Region team, first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection and the Philadelphia Soccer 7 Player of the Year in 2008.
