Character

“There are so many impressive things about Jack, but I think most of all was his ability to come in here as a transfer after his freshman season and become not just a great player but such an integral part of our team. He’s a guy that will do anything for anybody with a smile on his face. Certainly last year—talk about character—after scoring six goals against Duke in the opening game, he came down with a terrible appendicitis attack. He missed three weeks, came back and then had to adjust to a new position for what the team needed. He did anything he could last year to help our team win a National Championship. It has always been about team with Jack. He was a unanimous pick when we voted for captains for this season.” – Denver Head Coach Bill Tierney

Community

Bobzien participated in the Colorado Rolling Mammoth Wheel Chair game as a fundraiser scrimmage in November. Admissions to the event were donated to the Colorado Rolling Mammoth to assist the organization in purchasing equipment for their team that plays in the WLUSA.

Competition

Bobzien is a 2016 Inside Lacrosse Preseason third-team All-America selection and was a second-team All-Big EAST pick in 2014. He scored six goals in Denver’s 2015 opener, a 17-13 win over Duke, before missing time in the Pioneers’ lineup after an appendectomy.
