Classroom

Hibberd maintains a 3.64 GPA in Mass Communications. He was an Academic All-Horizon League selection in 2010 and 2011 and has been on both the Wright State and Horizon League honor rolls. As a junior, Hibberd was a Capital One Academic All-America second-team selection.

Character

Hibberd is currently the treasurer of WSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and he’s involved with the end-of-year athletic recognition banquet. He also designed the team’s 2011 poster.

Community

Hibberd has been involved with a Christmas toy drive and visits to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Competition

As a junior, Hibberd was the Horizon League Player of the Year and a first-team all-league honoree, as well as a Louisville Slugger third-team All-American and the Don Mohr WSU Male Athlete of the Year recipient. He led the league in all three Triple Crown categories (.407 batting average, nine home runs, 56 RBI) and appeared in the Division I rankings in each of those categories (14th in average, 133rd in home runs and 71st in RBI). Hibberd also ranked 10th nationally in hits (96). He was a first-team All-Horizon League member in 2010 and was named to the All-Newcomer Team in 2009. The Raiders won the Horizon League regular-season and tournament titles in 2011 and the tournament crown in 2009. WSU advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and 2011.
