Jameel Warney is a member of the Academy of Leaders, recipient of the Undergraduate Recognition Award, the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete Award and a two-time America East Honor Roll member.

Warney’s positive character has been recognized by his being named team captain.
Community
Warney’s community service efforts include volunteering with the Walk for Beauty, Miracle League and the Special Olympics.
Competition
This season, Warney should become the school’s all-time leader in points and rebounds. He led Division I with 24 double-doubles and 409 total rebounds and could be the third player in America East Conference history with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. He is a two-time America East Player of the Year and became the third player in school history last season to score at least 500 points in a season.
