Character

Douglas is a team captain and is on the second year of being a member on a team leadership council that deals with team issues, leadership roles, and how to achieve team goals. He has helped instill Scholar Baller values by going to high schools and middle schools, and speaking to numerous young athletes about the importance of integrity, character and academics. Community

Douglas makes visits to lower income schools as a motivational speaker, helps out with the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and volunteers for youth football camps. He frequently takes time out of his day to help with numerous campus community service projects and is always first in line to say hi to young Sun Devil fans.

Competition

Douglas, who earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2013, has started 27 consecutive games on the Sun Devils’ offensive line, tied for the most career starts on the team. He is one of only four returning offensive linemen in the conference to earn first or second-team All-Pac-12 recognition in 2013. His play at left guard in 2013 helped pave the way for All-Pac-12 running back Marion Grice and All-Pac-12 quarterback Taylor Kelly. He was named to the preseason watch list for the Lombardi Award and the Outland Trophy.
