Jared is a two-time academic All-Big Ten selection (2018, 2019). He was been honored on the Dean’s List and is a five-time scholar athlete.

Character

Jared is a model student-athlete and representative of the sport of lacrosse. He suffered the loss of his father to cancer during the Summer 2019 and has shown incredible courage to continue to lead Maryland as a team captain. He wears the No. 1 jersey at Maryland, bestowed to the player on the team who displays the upmost character and leadership on and off the field and truly lives the program’s motto “Be The Best” in his everyday life.

Community

Jared has volunteered in multiple community service initiatives. Helping Wreaths Across America, Jared laid wreaths at the graves of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery in December. With Terps Against Hunger, Jared took part in a campus homecoming service event at Maryland that packaged food for people in need. Jared also volunteers for Team Impact and spends time with the team’s adopted “teammate” Fionn Crimsons, who suffers from a life threatening illness. Assisting Happy Helpers Baltimore, Jared has taken part in the volunteer organization that prepares food and necessities to people in need.

Competition

Jared heads into his senior season as a Preseason USILA First Team All-American and a member of the Preseason All-Big Ten team. He is a three-time USILA All-American, receiving honors in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Jared is a two-time member of the All-Big Ten Team (2018 and 2019) and was also a Tewaarton Award Finalist in 2019. During that season, he had one of the best individual offensive seasons in program history. He finished second all-time at Maryland in goals (51) and sixth in points (78) for a single season. Jared will use his fifth year of eligibility to play college football, a spot where he has excelled at as an option quarterback in high school.
