Character

Jayme has a great enthusiasm for Boston University, her academic studies, the community, and our athletic department. She is positive, intelligent, competitive, hard-working, and high achieving in all aspects of her life as a student and as an athlete. Her ability to lead on and off the field, in the classroom, and in any and all community service projects, led her teammates to vote her as team captain. Jayme not only epitomizes what it means to be a “student-athlete”, but takes tremendous pride in representing Boston University on campus and in the community.  She is a member of our SAAC Program (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) in the Athletic Department, while also participating in many of our community outreach programs. Jayme is always leading the charge within the team, and the department to encourage all to participate in the outreach events, as well as supporting fellow Terriers at the home athletic events.  Jayme is a communicator, a leader, and someone who truly cares about the success of those who are her teammates on the field and in the classroom.

Community

Jayme has devoted much of her time volunteering in the community as a representative of Boston University. She has volunteered at the Women’s Lunch Place, which provides services for women in need and has provided assistance to the race organizers of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events. Through SAAC, she has also participated in the annual holiday reading program, helped organize multiple Special Olympics events on campus and mentored children through the College for Every Student program.
