Classroom

Holland maintains a 3.99 GPA, having received only one B+ in his collegiate career. Last year he was a second-team academic All-American. Holland is a three-time member of both the academic All-Big Ten and academic All-District V teams.

Character

Holland’s teammates voted him to be a co-captain this season, and he was one of three players chosen to represent Purdue at the Big Ten Media Days in Chicago.

Community

Holland, an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is very involved with his local community. He reads a weekly rosary at a local retirement home, serves as a leader for Dream Season, which is a special needs football day camp, and volunteers for the Purdue Athlete Life Success (PALS) and Reading is Leading programs. He also donates blood annually at the Purdue Football Blood Drive.

Competition

In 2010, Holland tied for third on the team with 73 total tackles. He enters his senior season on the watch list for the Ronnie Lott IMPACT Award. For his career, Holland has started 35 games and tallied 230 tackles, including 13 tackles for loss, and four sacks.
