J.R. and a Virginia women’s basketball player did a presentation to Head Start youngsters this fall, has also participated with the Virginia team in Alzheimer Foundation Memory Walks and in visits to a local children’s hospital.
Competition
Started 84 of the 98 games he’s played in at Virginia, scored 1,246 career points and ranks fourth on Virginia’s three-point field goals made list (175) entering a game on Dec. 28. He ranked eighth in the ACC in scoring (510, 17.0 ppg.), and ninth in free throw percentage (.776, 128-165) and three-point field goals made per game (60, 2.00 pg.) last season.
