Character

“Julie has officially served in the role of team captain for the past two years. However, she is a student athlete who is a natural leader and therefore has been a leader in our program for four years. Julie has excelled on the playing field with multiple accolades for all conference recognition as well as outstanding performances in the classroom each semester. Julie has represented Monmouth Women’s soccer with class since the moment she stepped on campus. She is the consummate team player as evident by her playing every position on the field during her four year career except goalkeeper. Julie is the first to cross the line in fitness, the first to step up when the game is on the line and the first to compliment a teammate. Julie is the type of player that every coach dreams of having as a part of her team. I am honored to have Julie wearing the Monmouth uniform as she accepts the responsibility with a high level of enthusiasm and passion.” - Head Coach Krissy Turner

Community

Spracklin has participated in a number of community service initiatives including US Youth Soccer’s TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer). Spracklin and the Monmouth’s women’s soccer program also adopted Emily Calabro through Team IMPACT prior to the 2015 season, and she is still an active part of the team today. Spracklin participated in Write-On-Sports Camp, where she spoke to aspiring young sports writers and also at Women in Sports Day at a conference for middle school-aged female athletes. She volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch, N.J., and at the local ASPCA Adopt A Dog Day.

With Spracklin as a key contributor, Monmouth has won three consecutive MAAC Regular-Season Championships and won the 2013 MAAC Tournament Title.
