McIntyre, an exercise science major currently boasts a 3.9 GPA, the highest among her teammates. She was named to the Academic All-MAC squad as a junior. The senior is part of a team that has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for her entire CMU career.

Character

McIntyre is a two-year captain that is a leader both on and off the court. She is a great communicator and has the ability to change the culture of a match with her poise and mental toughness. The senior is a role model among her teammates and to her peers across campus. McIntyre is the undisputed leader for the Chippewas.

Community

Throughout her career as a Chippewa, McIntyre has volunteered her time in the Mount Pleasant community. Some of the annual events the senior has volunteered at include the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen, Le Tour de Mont Pleasant, the Chippewa Challenge and the Special Olympics Michigan State Summer Games.

Competition

Elected to play in the 2014 European Global Challenge, a volleyball tournament featuring some of the top talent from the United States and Europe where she competed for Bring It Promotions (BIP) USA Team. McIntyre is a two-time All-MAC first team selection and was named to the All-Freshman squad in 2011. The senior also adds back-to-back All-MAC west preseason team selection to her long list of accolades. Additionally, she is sixth all-time in CMU history in career kills with 1,194 and fifth all-time in attacks (3,085). As a junior McIntyre posted the third highest points per set in single-season history with 3.93 and also posted the third best single-season mark for points/set with 4.41.
