Classroom

Ludlow is as dedicated in the classroom as she is on the field as she has a 3.73 GPA in health science studies. She has been on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll all six semesters at Baylor. She was a First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection as a sophomore and junior.

Character

Ludlow is a tremendous leader and captain of the team.  She has worked extremely hard since arriving at Baylor to become one of the best defensive central midfielders in the country.  She has a very compassionate heart. She works with young kids and her ability to connect and be intentional with them is second to none.  They flock to her genuineness and authenticity.  Kat is a key component in the overall success of the Baylor soccer program, both on and off the field.

Community

Ludlow has been involved in many community related events in her time at Baylor.  After her freshman year, she went on a mission trip to Kenya for two weeks.  She spends hours of time helping at the Salvation Army.  She has worked every Baylor soccer summer camp in her three years at Baylor.  She helps out with the Baby Bears program in developing young children’s soccer skills.  She has worked with Feed My Starving Children and Special Olympics several times.  She has also been a part of Mission Waco and Santa’s Workshop.

Competition

Ludlow has been a huge part of solidifying Head Coach Marci Jobson’s excellent defensive principles that have led Baylor to two of its most historic seasons as a program, including winning the Big 12 Championship title for the first time in 2012 and advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time.  As anchor of the defense, Kat helped Baylor set a program-record 0.53 goals against average in 2012, breaking the mark she helped set in 2011 (0.79) and 2010 (0.81).  She has 14 points (six assists, four goals) in 67 career matches (47 starts) and is coming off her best season.  In 2012, she earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team, Second Team NSCAA All-Central Region and Second Team All-Big 12 honors by setting a career high with nine points on three goals and three assists.
